Follow-up on a suspected fake recruiter trojan remains without full confirmation

A message on the oss-sec list, dated 15 October 2026, questions an earlier alert about a recently registered domain, but acknowledges the incident may have occurred. The domain registration was last modified on 10 October 2026.

This is a reply to an earlier post about a suspected trojan posing as a recruiter, linked to a domain registered recently. The author says nothing had been disclosed earlier on that channel and suspects the original text was AI-generated without saying so. However, they verified that the domain was indeed registered not long before and that its registration was last changed on 10 October 2026. They therefore consider the incident possibly real and do not object to including relevant indicators of compromise and similar items. The message is truncated and does not give a complete technical conclusion. To consult the original, open the public oss-sec list archive for 2026 and locate the message of 15 October. To verify, check the domain registration in public registry records and confirm indicators against official security sources.
