According to notice USN-8906-1, published on 8 October 2026 and carried as an automatic translation in the Ubuntu Security feed, a Linux kernel update fixes numerous flaws in Arm architecture, drivers, filesystems and network subsystems. The first item described is CVE-2025-10263: some Arm processors were found to possibly complete a broadcast TLB invalidation before memory writes made through the invalidated translation were observed globally. A local attacker could possibly use this to write to memory after permission had been revoked, bypassing memory protections or escalating privileges. The notice also reports several other security problems that, according to the text, could be used to compromise the system. The fixes cover the ARM64, ARM32, MIPS, PowerPC and x86 subsystems; Intel NPU, GPU, Bluetooth, network, USB, storage and device drivers; the Ext4, FUSE, NTFS3 and SMB filesystems; and network, memory, IPC, security and KVM subsystems. The full list of CVE identifiers is long, with more than one hundred entries, and should be checked in the original notice. For teams running Linux servers that host AI integrations, the relevance is operational: the host must receive the distribution vendor's fix. This is an infrastructure matter, and Rota Nacional does not solve it. Check the official Ubuntu notice under the number USN-8906-1 to confirm affected packages, versions and update instructions.
