Why clean before you use AI in accounting
Accounting professionals already use AI in daily work. The Federal Accounting Council itself asks for attention to privacy and to Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD) when generative AI is used with accounting data.
The firm is accountable for the client data that it processes. Pasting a payroll sheet into an AI chat exposes the salaries and documents of people who do not even know that AI was used.
The accountant does not need to integrate anything. The accounting software that the accountant already uses does the integration once, for all clients.
How it works
The document reaches the system
The accounting software sends the text of the email, invoice or statement to the cleaning route. PDFs go through the extraction route.
Rota removes the personal data
CPF and CNPJ numbers, names, emails, phone numbers and addresses become placeholders. Amounts, dates and descriptions stay in the text.
AI does the task
The model classifies entries, summarizes the client's messages or prepares a reply.
The accountant checks
The system shows the result to the accountant, who reviews it and completes it with the client's data.

The accounting software calls the cleaning route before any AI. If it uses Rota models, the chat route already cleans the text before the model.
